The YMCA, Bhimtal, runs an efficient Community Health Programme with the services of dedicated doctors and supporting staff. The General OPD provides free medicine to less fortunate patients, and routine pathology tests are conducted on blood, stool and urine, detecting sugar imbalances as well as other ailments. A mobile clinic was initiated on 9 April 2011, when a fully equipped medical van with lab facilities was donated to the YMCA by the Dayal Trust. The Mobile Clinic Van Programme was very well received, with the team travelling to serve the population within a 35km radius of Bhimtal’s YMCA Youth Centre. The mobile van’s services were suspended temporarily in accordance with Covid-19 protocols, but resumed on 31 July 2021.
Associated with the Dayal Trust since April 2007.
