The community-level initiatives of the Central Himalayan Rural Action Group (CHIRAG) aim for transformation. Through its Foundational Education Program, nearly 6000 students in over 150 government schools have benefited from the resources and skills needed for academic and personal progress. The Dayal Trust’s support for the Girls' Scholarship Program has enabled over 600 girls to successfully complete their education from grades 9 to 12, providing them with the skills and confidence needed for a hopeful future. Medical equipment required by the CHIRAG Health Centre in Sargakhet is supported by the Dayal Trust. In addition, the Trust donates books to 35 village libraries and some government schools. Community Level Educators, appointed by CHIRAG with the support of the Dayal Trust, raise the quality of education at village primary schools while also increasing community involvement and a demand for educational services. As of December 2024, almost 170 educators have participated in this initiative, with several transitioning to government roles and anganwadi teaching, which demonstrates that this collaboration creates opportunities and transforms lives in populations that need it most.

Associated with the Dayal Trust since 2008.
