In view of the Dayal family’s long association with Kumaon, in particular Nainital, where earlier generations spent their childhood, the Kumaoni people have been the particular focus of the Rajeshwar Susheela Dayal Charitable Trust (RSDCT or Dayal Trust) since 2000.
Our principal objective is to provide livelihood opportunities to those who need it most, particularly women and girls, in the areas of education, health care and income generation. The Trust also recognises the need to promote gender equality and is happy to enter into partnerships for innovative programmes aimed at community development. Directly and indirectly, we lend support to institutions that work in these fields and have the necessary experience and management structure as well as a proven reputation for integrity and excellence.
The Trustees visit the Kumaon area at least twice a year. We believe that remaining in consistent communication with our partners and projects helps to build the strong relationships where we can support a cause and take timely and necessary action when required.
