Udhyam (a term that translates into ‘enterprise’ in English) was launched in 2017 by a group of individuals to inculcate a spirit of entrepreneurship among the village communities of Kumaon. With appropriate support, Udhyam entrepreneurs are able to create jobs within their communities and contribute to the local economy. Today, more than 500 such entrepreneurs are spread across the districts of Nainital, Almora, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh.
